Ms. Kosak is an associate attorney at the firm. She represents clients in state court in traffic, criminal, and family matters. Ms. Kosak joined Albright & Rhodes, LLC following a clerkship with the Honorable Louise G. Scrivener in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County. Ms. Kosak clerked for Judge Scrivener, assisting in and researching matters in divorce, custody, adoption, criminal, post-conviction, and civil law matters. As a law clerk for the Baltimore County and Montgomery County Offices of the Public Defender, Ms. Kosak assisted in the investigation and strategy development of both District and Circuit Court matters, and conducted intake interviews for clients in the juvenile courts. In the Washington College of Law Criminal Defense Clinic, she represented clients in juvenile court, resulting in the dismissal of the charges, and in District Court, resulting in a successful plea negotiation. While at the Clinic, Ms. Kosak investigated the case of a woman previously convicted of poisoning her husband despite her self-defense claims of Battered Spouse Syndrome. Before entering the practice of law, Ms. Kosak served as a management consultant in an international accounting firm, working with clients in the Financial Services Industry (primarily Banking and Insurance) to improve their financial processes and supporting computer systems. She led teams of up to 40 staff, with significant project results including, for example, reducing critical report production from 2 months to 3 days, replacing paper reports issued with month-old data with real-time online access to information, and modifying software system functionality to allocate expenses at the entry point of the financial system to meet the unique needs of the client.
